I do think all of my books feature some kind of redemption story but this is simply a reflection of my essential optimism about the world, that despite all the darkness there are ways to evolve, to get better, to find happiness.ĥ. Sometimes I know how my books will end, but sometimes I don’t. When you begin writing a story, do you always know how you will end it, and what morals you want to portray? Many of your novels, such as Vanishing Girls, Panic and Requiem, end with inspirational and uplifting messages.
